WH-1000xm3 - problem in Underground (TUBE, METRO) - sound changing

Hi everyone,

I have an issue. I´ve been using my XM3 during my travels to work and all around the city. Sounds great. But I ´ve noticed, that in Metro (TUBE, UNDERGROUND) there are some issues with sound. I think, it is becouse of changes of atmospheric pressure in the underground train. But it change sound. For second or two and then get to normal. But it is not comfortable. Do you have same issue? Or should I claim it? Or is there any solution?

Thanks alot, and sorry for my english 🙂

Have a nice day

M.

Hi smarcmar,

Welcome to the community.

I'll see if I can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.

Thanks,

Pascale

Hi Smarcmar,

I think due to the change of air pressure, noise may be heard as a result of the adaption of the circuit responsible of the noise cancellation to the surrounding environment.

Hi,

but I don´t mean that I could hear a noise from surrounding. It changes sound completely - stronger bass, volume up/down.... it happens sometimes 5 times between two stations. So it is not very comfortable to listen to music in Metro (tube, underground)

That sounds more like your perception of the sound against the surrounding environment and level of noise around you more than a difference in the headset itself.

I can't think of another reason that could affect the bass or volume level, but it never hurts to make sure you have the latest update on all of your devices in case a software glitch is causing an issue for example.

Hope this helps.
