XL100 tuner problems

Hi All,

Don't know if this is the correct place for this, but here goes:

I just bought an XL100, more the fool me, and it has taken me 2 full days to try and set it up, and i am still having problems.

My current problem is with my tuner card, Avermedia Hybrid A16c.

i had terrible trouble connecting my Thomson Sky + to the Tuner card, the WMC remote does not control the sky box, the s-video comes out redish, the composite comes out blueish, and they all come out 4 x 3.

i have used the RF for the best picture, but can't change it to 16 x 9, i can't find software for the Tuner on the computer, maybe that is the problem.

I'd appreciate any help, as i feel divorce might be on the cards if i don't fix this.

Hi Jq5

I tried the avermedia route and got the same problem of device not being recognised

Spoke with Sony support, they are flumoxed by the fact the front s-video port works and not the back one as they are connected to the same card.

They are picking up the unit to investigate...they were unaware of others with the same problem

Sony only got back to me today, so I have answered their questiona and now I wait.

I think my wifey would be looking at me sideways if I'd spent 2 k on a media centre that didn't get a Mr Bean signal. Hope you solve you problem matey. personally I'm waiting around for 3D TV and sticking to my HD projector till then. C'mon Spielberg where is it???:smileylove:
