Problem /
I have installed sonicstage on my reinstalled Windows XPSP2
And it refuses to recognize my Vaio anymore saying it it is not supported !!
Reinstallations, upgrades, re installing the firmware ... nothing works
NOT A SOLUTION :
1. Backup de content of your vaio
2. In Sonicstage initialize the "device"
3. Put your backup back on the vaio
WHY this not a **** solution ?
Because of **** DRM !
1. You cannot transfert back to your PC :
mp3 impossible, atrac unreadable on the PC
2. While you think that everything is fine on the vaio
it is NOT
All songs are displayed BUT CANNOT BE PLAYED
when I try to play the hard disk starts to seek the track ... forever
Conclusion : I have to reimport all my files into my library, re capture erased CD ... nice ! very nice !
SO I HATE SONY'S DRM MANAGEMENT
It brings just problem for a honest user who stores CD on its Vaio and have to reinstall its PC.
Tell here how many people will in the next year :
- Change its PC
- Reinstall its windows ?
Solutions ???
- sell you vaio on ebay, buy an iRiver
- hack SonicStage to remove all **** DRM
- write all to sony
