My Sony Vaio VGN-Z21WN keyboard has stopped functioning - the Sony special keys still work but no other keyboard keys. Any suggestions? I have restored the machine to the factory state in case this was a virus problem but still to no avail. I've opened the lid, and checked that the keyboard leads are firmly seated. I've also reloaded keyboard drivers which has made no difference. The machine does work fine with a separate keyboard plugged in.
Very disappointed with this - and the Sony support response to a machine that is only 13 months old and cost £1800. Your guidance would be very welcome!
For info, the keyboard failed when the machine had Windows 7 Ultimate running and is still the same when rolled back to Windows Vista Business edition.
