I hav installed ManY mANy games on my laptop now and i get the crappiest performance ever ... i have a desktop pc with worse specs running XP and the game play is much much smoother ... i also noticed tht there is a new driver out for Nvidia fixing compatibility issues with VISTA but it wont let me install it on my laptop saying that its not compatible with the hardware that i hav got ???
i hav a 8400M GT 256 Mb video memory
Ram 4 gb
2.1 ghz processors DUO core
i even tried playing NFS 2 and midtown madness 2 .. both giv me worse graphics than my Desktop pc which runs at 1 gb ram , 128 mb Nvidia Fx card and 2.4 ghz processor 
anyones help wud be great .. i dont hav any rubbish startup programs i hav antivirus and adware removal software and i hav tried turning all of them off too just soo i can play .. but guess what
