Hi!
We bought some months ago this laptop model (VGN-CR31S) with Windows Vista installed and we have some troubles with the keyboard.
When typing it is hard to get the same letter repeated and backspace doesn't delete many letters in a row if pressed down continously, but just remove one letter per second.
I have tried to regulate the keyboard from control panel, but without success.
Is this a desired behaviour?
Are there newer keyboard drivers available?
The general usage of the keyboard is alright, but it is quite annoying to often have to fix words with double letters or to have to push down backspace many times to obtain the desired behaviour of the key.

Arianna
Hi Arianna and welcome to VAIO Club,
Try this it mayb help you solve your problem/bug.
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Keyboard then double click > Keyboard Properties > Speed.
There you can adjust the character reapeat speed.
Hope this helps, enjoy the forum.
Hi,
thank you for your welcome!
As mentioned in the first post, we have tried to regulate the keyboard through control panel but without success. We have regulated both controls for the speed in different ways just to see if there was a difference, but it didn't help out.
Additionally, we have realized that the buttons for regulating the volume (raising it, lowering it, audio off, )and also capture, display off and av mode are not working. Should they work in some special circumstances?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Arianna
Hi,
Sorry to hear it didn't work with you. I wouldn't know further because i don't own a CR model - mine AR.
And recently my keyboard got damaged, some keys stopped working totally, guess have a bad luck from the beginning use of 7 months.
Try a System Restore, restore it to its ealier working date, it might help.
Also download and install the latest updates for your VAIO.
