i have just bought a vgc-v2s. the main sony e-support portal just goes round in circles when i seek help. my problem is the dvd writer.
sony knowledge base states that the current vaio desktops "only support dvd-r and dvd-rw, dvd+r and dvd+rw are not supported."
the literature with my vaio states that the vgc-v2s has a dvd+/-rw drive that supports dvd+r double layer disc.
my supplier provided tdk dvd-rw disc. the computer rejects these when i try to create the recovery discs. the dvd operates ok when i play prerecorded dvds and cds.
can anyone advise about the best type and specification of dvds to use on my vaio vgc-v2s?
