Upgrading RAM on FZ series

Hello Folks

I'm want to upgrade the RAM on my newly arrived Sony notebook (VGN-FZ31S) to 4GB but Crucial UK is giving me 2 options:

OPTION 1 (same spec as original RAM 2 x 1GB)
4GB kit (2GBx2), 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module

PRICE: £65.79

Is DDR PC2-6400 likely to be significantly better than PC2-5300? Is the £7 price difference worth paying? I will be using Vista 64 bit so should be able to see >3GB RAM.

Stick with option one, if you use PC6400 in a pc/laptop that is only cable of PC5300, the PC6400 memory will simply run at PC 5300 speed, they are backward compatible. Also for system stabilty and warranty issues it is better to stick PC5300 (option one) unles it says in your system manual that your laptop can use PC6400, you wont gain anything (speed wise)
