Upgrade my good ol' R600MX

Any information or links about upgrading an R600MX to a
- faster CPU
- higher memory
- bigger harddrive
- less noisy fan (it is always running, even if I don't do anything)
- longer lasting battery.

Also reports about experiences with BIOS upgrades and any SPforXP problems would be highly appreciated...

I couldn't find a "SEARCH" function in this forum, so if there is already a thread dealing with this issues, please forgive me...

Hi Rolf,

To be honest, if you do upgrade the CPU, the fan will be just as noisy. The memory you can find at crucial and a hard disk should be quite easy to change too.

Adding more power to a machine creates more heat, hence more noise.

There's no search at the moment, the Sony dev team are working on it.
