I was hoping you might be able to help me. I have a VGN-SZ5VWN/X running Vista. It has suddenly stopped recognising the existence of any audio output device. I suspect, though I'm not certain, that this may be due to some of the Windows Updates which were recently installed. Unfortunately, System Restore doesn't seem to be working properly, so I can't restore succesfully to a time when I did have sound.
