Sony Vaio VGC-V3S/V3M - Drivers and HDD Removal Help Please

Hi All,

I have a Sony Vaio VGC-V3S/V3M running Windows 7 Home. I have ran into a problem with the OS blue screening so I am going to have to either ghost the hard drive or remove the hard drive and pop it in my HDD caddy to backup my data. I have 2 questions:

(1) Where at the back of the system is the HDD located? I am familiar with where the RAM is located.

(2) Will I need any drivers for when I get Windows 7 backup up and running or is there a link somebody could provide where I could find all the drivers for the system?

Many thanks for any help with this

The blue screening is probably caused by one of the drivers being incompatible with Windows 7.  What does it say on the blue screen?  Graphics driver is often the culprit.

There are no drivers for Windows 7 but many Vista drivers will work so try them first.  You will have to find a suitable Windows 7 Graphics Driver.
