Sony NW20EF power board problem?

hi i have a sony vaio nw20ef laptop and it has been dead for a while. it happened when i plugged in the charger. i took it to the repair shop near me and the guy said the power ic has burnt and it's hard to find the part. i looked around on the internet and found something called battery connection board on ebay(all of them are taken out from the used laptops), and i'm just wandering if these are the ones that i need. and if so, what particular type of board i should be looking for that particular model(nw20ef).

I really have no idea but it is likely that Sony will have a custom part for Vaios.

You could try phoning one of Sony's Service Partners near you and see if they can help.
