I recently purchased a Sony Digital HD Camera Recorder HVR-V1P. I've recorded some stuff and want to edit on my PC, however, my firewire connection doesn't seem to be able to see my camera at all. I've tried it on a friends PC and I appear to be suffering the same problem on his.
Has anyone else had this same problem? I am using Windows 7, have been using Adobe Premier Cs3 and even tried sonys own vegas software but my camera isn't being seen at all.
Could this be a hardware problem or am I missing something? I've followed all the advice in the instruction manual and online, all to no avail.
