Saga of buying new Vaios

I recently purchased two new Vaios for the company, I am now sorry for that mistake!

The CR31/N was doing the best out of the two until a windows update came down. Now when you power up the machine after a few seconds in windows it reports a problem with the battery tell you to close down and check the battery. This occurs if the battery is fitted or not. The only way round is to enter Task Manager and end the process manually which then reappears which if you close a second time goes away until you re boot. For some reason the process ISBMGR is the problem. Sony sent me the supposed driver and I reinstalled it to no avail?

The other real annoying problem is that I have DNS323 Network Drive a fantastic product, a big recommend! (sorry about advertising) and all the other machines have mapped the drives okay with D Link software but the CR31 no matter how many times I install the software, set it up the storage drive appear on the network screen and when you click it wants to install a dam driver. The crippled Vista cannot find a driver and cannot see the driver in the un packaged file so the only way is with their software. It even managed to work on the other lame horse the SZ71E/B not on the CR. Both are running the hiddeous Vista. Word to Sony(stopping forcing everyone to Vista its as good as a fireguard made from ice)

In closing when you speak to support and I quote,"If there is any other software on the machine, remove it try the machine and if it still not write send it back to us." Yeah I have three hours to remove all the applications, find it might work and start again? Hope when their car breaks down the AA says," push it five miles you will find a patrol down the road."

Any suggestions??

PS read the SZ71 thread.
