Hi every1...again! There is an optical out port on the back of the RZ 424. Does anybody know what its for? is for recording minidisc or to go to a 5.1 receiver or what?!
It's SPDIF if my memory serves me right.
It's used for digital output to things like DAT recorders and other digital means.
you can use it to connect to 5.1(ac3) set up for full dolby dig experience, make sure ac3(spdif) is checked in volume control>advanced properties on your pc if you do connect up else youll just be hearing a downmixed stereo decoding...
dont quote me on this though as im just saying how i done on my machine, pcv-w1.... it may be different on yours..
Hello
I have a RZ424 and i have the Logitech Z-680 connected to the opitcal out, and it is 5.1 surround sound and the sound is so much better. And you can also record Mini discs as well, but you get all your back ground sounds like msn etc
