"Bluetooth stacking service is unable to start"

About 10 mins after start up I get a pop-up box "Bluetooth stacking service is unable to start". Since this has happened I can no longer send photos from my phone (Samsung Galaxy) to my laptop (VPCEB2M0E). I'm using Windows 7.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? And is there a solution?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Fiona

This seems to be caused by a Windows Update.

Make your hidden files visible and then navigate to the folder: -

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

and search for a bluetooth shortcut called BTTray.exe.

This shortcut will probably be pointing to an invalid folder and causing the problem.

Simply delete the shortcut to BTTray.exe from the start menu folder.
