Programs running not showing in taskbar

Hi vaio peoples this is my first time post i have a sony vaio VGN-CRS21S for six months now All of a sudden today, the programs that are running no longer show in the taskbar. I have tried many things to change this with no luck. The programs ARE running, but when minimized, they disappear from view completely. The regular icons appear as normal on the taskbar, just not the programs I have opened any one who can help will be well appreciated [:D

Once downloaded double click the xp_taskbar_desktop_fixall vbs file to run..

i have already restored my pc to the factory condition as i thought i will not get a answer thanks for the advice and link well helpful
