Hey guys,
I want to upgrade the memory in my VAIO, and wanted to know if I could replace the standard 256 meg PC2100 DDR stick with 2 lots of 512 megs of DDR PC3200 memory. Does anyone know if the bios can handle PC3200?
Thanks,
Omy
According to the online manual
http://www.club-vaio.sony-europe.com/manuals/desktops/RS1_H_UK.pdf
the computer will only support PC2100.
There should be no problem using 2 512 PC2100 chips.
If you go to http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.asp and use the memory finder (start by selecting sony as manufacture) it will tell you what you can use.
