Thats very odd. Telephone VAIO Link asap about this. It does not happen on the K-Series laptop that I use.

This does sound like a hardware issue, and should not happen!

come to mention it my S3 model does this too but then again its not actually that noticable i hear the fan over anything else!!!

Yeah, do this.

BTW I has a similar problem with a cheap room lamp. I mean there was the same buzzing noise by low brightness. The result was I have bought a new expensive room lamp. And now I have no problems.:smileygrin:

What I mean is, it wouln't be new that Sony tried to use cheap parts for a expensive thing.:smileycool: The PS 2 is the best example for this.
