Notebook Vaio VGN-TX1XP

I have recently bought a Vaio VGN-TX1XP and it has never worked while I am flying in an airplane or while I am in a city at more than 3,000 feet high. It freezes at the initial screen (the Vaio logo) and makes a strange noise as if the hard disk is not working well. As soon as I am back at sea level it gets back to normal. Does anybody know what might be going on? Thanks

I think you had better take this up with Vaio-Link Support.

Most Laptops do have an altitude ceiling - but this is usually about 10,000 ft. which means it works normally in most of the world's cities. Sounds like yours has a fault causing it to fail too easily. I think aircraft cabin pressures don't drop below 8,000 ft.
