Newbie, Help needed.

Hi all,
I bought my laptop in March and did not get any recovery CD's or anything with it from PCWorld. Well anyway, I got a virus (now got anti-virus malarkey) and I have put on Windows Vista Ultimate (Legit version) onto my system.

The problems are that I don't have the drivers for the memory card reader or anything else of that matter. I do however have the ones for the display but it took me a while to even find them ones.
I was just wondering if anyone on here could maybe help me with these problems... I would prefer to be able to get all of the stuff I had that was Vaio as it would keep my system to date so to speak, I need the memory card reader too as I do quite abit photography and that is how I transfer my pictures over.

As of yet I can't think of any other problems but if someone could get me a possible link to the whole lot of the vaio stuff to download then I would be most greatful.

Oh and before I forget, the model is: VGN-NR21M/S

Hi Ant and welcome to Club Vaio.

In order to help we need to know the model of Vaio you have.

The original drivers and original utilities are usually downloadable for nearly every model, so it should be fairly straightforward to find the drivers you need.

The preinstalled software cannot be downloaded and will only be available if you restore your Vaio back to factory settings.

That is the thing.
When I reformatted I had to re-do everything so EVERYTHING was lost.

Is there anyway I can download some sort of Vaio thing that I can download the drivers through as I don't have anything pre-installed.

If you want the original Sony supplied OS and pre-installed applications then you can purchase a recovery disc set from Sony Vaio support, you can do this either by phone or via e-Support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support
