New Vaio FW11E today but...

when I turned her on for her virginal setup I was greeted with a static red pixel just off centre 3/4 of the way up the screen. What are my options? Can I take the lappy back and exchange? Or do I need to have a family of statics to qualify?
All help is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Bob (Vaio Noob)

Hi Bob,

welcome to club VAIO..

FYI here is a link to Sony's official pixel policy: VGN-FW11E Sony Faulty Pixels Policy

Hi guys,
Thanks for the welcome.
Guess I could take it back to PC World where I bought it from and see If I get lucky.
I know it's only one pixel and I'm probably nitpicking, but spending £700 and finding a red spec staring at me does grate on me a little.

Cheers,
Bob

All is well!
I took the laptop back to PC World and they exchanged it for another shiny new one. Glad to report that this one has no dead pixels.
Happy days!
