Need some help.

Hiya.. well as you all know i just do the recovery on my old Vaio PCG-X18 last week.. everything so far so good.. just that i am missing 1 puzzle.

I need a driver/frimware for my cdrw-rom, Vaio Model - PCGA-CDRWX1, or Matshita CD-R/RW Model UJDA310L. I just couldnt seem to find it anywhere.. not in vaio-link.. and UK Vaio not selling it anymore.. but somehow US sony is still selling it, US SONY , but i still cant find the driver at thier e-support site...

i wondering any of you can help me out?

ummm case closed.. seems like when i install nero6 and do a check up its recognise it as cdrw :smileyblush: so no need to update or install the driver after all..

Usually CD/DVD drives don't need a driver.
Glad you sorted it.

Its not a CD/DVD, its CD-R/RW, the original drive came with my vaio is just a DVD-rom, i bought additional (accessories) from sony the CD-R/RW drive (swap bay). I remember it come with a installation cd (software or driver). That why when i do the recovery i tought i needed that cd too.
