kEYBOARD PROBLEMS WITH SONY FS315E

Hello ALL
The other day I was wiping my Sony Vaio down with a dry lint free cloth, and I was surprised that one of the keys lifted off from the keyboard, the problem was the cheap black plastic bracket underneath had broken allowing the key top to come off.

I rang Sony and was surprised to learn that if there was damage to the keyboard it would not be covered under warranty! I asked for a replacement key and clip and 2 weeks later I am still awaiting delivery. How should I clean the keyboard or should I let it get dirty? I used a gentle motion when I cleaned it. Has anyone else had a similiar problem? Any comments would be useful.

Keyboard problem corrr don't even go there. Use the same cloth with your finger not the whole cloth so that the edges don't catch on the cloth. Use small circular motions on each key. Takes longer but they are really delicate tis true. When youre key replacement turns up make sure you get the installation instructions from Vaio link. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GUESS how to install it. It is easy if you know if not it is a nightmare.
