Can't install wireless network adapter after clean install of Vista on FW11E?

So, I purchased my FW11E and decided after a few days that I wanted to do a clean install of Vista. I install my version of Vista Ultimate onto the machine and start installing the drivers (downloaded from Sony website). Everything goes smoothly 'til I'm about to install the wireless network adapter. I use the drivers that Sony lists on their website, but the adapter still can't recognize them?

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Can it be that a other version of Vista is hindering me of installing the adapter?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Jocke and welcome to Club Vaio.

Where did you get the driver from? Is it Wireless LAN Driver (Atheros) 7.6B - 7.6.0.83?

How are you trying to install it - you need to install it from Device Manager using "Update Driver"
