Hello everybody
My laptop model is VPC-EB4Z1E/BQ, Intel® CoreTM i5-480M 2.66GHz, 4GB, 500GB, ATI Radeon HD5650 1GB, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
This is not that much of an issue rather than a question/curiosity...
I want to know if the switch between the two graphics cards, the onboard (chipset) one and the dedicated one is taking place automatically, as with most of the laptops these days, I've heard that when not that much graphic power is needed, the onboard card is used, and when the system senses that more resources are needed, it switches to the dedicated graphics card, in my case, ATI.
So far everything has worked smoth and I have encountered no problems. I've updated the ATI drivers as It was requested on the first use, and it seems to work fine.
So, for all the users out there wich have this laptop, and others, can you tell me how to fiind the system settings for that switching? Or how can I tell if the dedicated graphics board is in use? (I must say I'm not a gamer, I use mainly graphics editing tools and photography related tools, maybe some HD contents) In the CCC (Catalyst Control Center) from ATI, I didin't fiind what I'm looking for, or maybe I don't know what to look for , the powerplay performance settings are - maximize batt life on batt power and maximize performance on AC power...
Thanks in advance
Andrew
