Admin rights not allowing software installation

I have just bought a new sony vaio with Vista Home Premium installed, and am trying to get to grips with the new OS....I cannot, annoyingly install my old printer even though it should do so easily. The printer is a OfficeJet 5510, Vista supports this model or so says the HP website. I get an error message before installation is complete saying I do not have administrator rights, even though I do. Any ideas of a way around this ?

have you tried running the Vista Program Compatibility Wizard, this can be found in Vista help..?

Thanks for this...I'll have a go with Vista Compatabilty and let you know. The HP website can't really help; the software is compatible it's just Vista won't allow me to run it.
