Do I have a faulty set, as vertical shadow lines are appearing on fast panning sport?
The more I scrutinise the EX723, the more small issues I find - just wish I could stop concentrating on finding them.
The biggest concern I have at the moment is two faint thin vertical shadow lines that appear 1/3rd of the screen in, from each side. During normal viewing you cant see them, but on fast panning sport (especially football) they are really distracting. It's as if there is a film or smear on the screen.
When sitting just slightly off centre (from the side or above, if standing) the picture washes out about 10%-15%, but doesn't get any worse the further you move off centre. Edge bleeding is also really noticeable on the opposite corner from the side you are viewing.
The vertical lines though in 2D are sending me over the edge.
Do I get a replacement and start again, or live with it and continue to try and find faults?
Hi. Hmm - have you got motionflow enabled? This might be causing or compounding the issue.
Light bleed is a separate issue, so maybe get it checked out by your local service centre.
Thanks
Motionflow is set to CLEAR, as per most of the recommended settings.
Could that cause vertical lines?
Lack of quality. Screen faults are not accepted, but sony has different point of view... they deny.
