Hi,
I have a Sony Bravia KD-55XE7002. I'm trying to get a DVD to play on it, but it just says that there's no signal detected on the AV channel. I've tried two different DVD players and three different cables, but nothing works. Please can someone advise me as to what to do to get it working?
Thank you,
Joe

Which player did you try and how did you connect it?
Images of the TVs and the players connectors might help to identify the issue.

The DVD players are a Philips DVD755VR-E and a Philips DVP3310. Here's a photo:
Hi @joebeaven,
thank you for the image.

Some of these cables can only transmit signal in one direction.
Though I assume you had it connected to your previous TV as well and it worked.
Would you mind unplugging the cables from the TV and make upload a close-up of the connectors?

Hi Nic,
Yes, the cable goes from scart in the DVD player to composite in the TV. My previous TV had a scart socket, so I have not used this cable before. I have also tried another cable the same as that one and one that is composite both ends. Here they are:
