Bravia KDL-50W Horizontal shadow/cast over 55% of screen

As usual, tv just outside of warranty (2months) now have a tinted horizontal shadow/cast appeared over approx. 55% of screen.

Have checked firmware update, reset to factory default settings etc makes no difference.

Appears on all HDMI inputs and on all equipnent connected (dvd, android TV Box etc).

Any ideas what may be causing this issue or is the display "shot" ?

What model TV have you got?  If it's an Android TV, this issue should be fixed with the latest firmware.  Please let me know which TV you have, and then we can check if your model has received the fix already.

The problem as now progressed into what you see above.

Still able to listen to channels but viewing is no so pleasant!

Is this the screen or main board ?

There could be several reasons but going by feedback online it

looks like its a T-Con board problem.

Sony Support is your best option at the moment, although you could try explaining and getting a

quote from a TV repar service near you too
