Problems with new AG9

Hey All 

 

I might be the worst with technology, and tried to search for some of these answers already but not found anything that helps

 

1. My amazon Prime app is playing fine but there is no sound. It worked fine for the first week out of the box.

 

2. I can’t find an Apple TV app - I thought the AG 9 came with this

 

3. Netflix keeps loading to 25% and then stalling ! I can sort of reset it by closing netflix down and re opening but it feels painful process for a new TV

 

4. my set top box that the tv plugs into doesn’t change channels. It’s great to watch whatever the default Chanel was but the Sony remote nor the set top remote seem to do anything now.

My 55AG9 is 5 months old and I just started experiencing the same Netflix problem as you. I think the app software is dodgy, as I don’t have the problem whenever I use the Netflix app on my Blu-ray player. I switched the TV off using the hardware on/off switch and then on again and the problem seems to have gone away (for now). I’ve had no problem with Amazon Prime, so I can’t help with that one.

As for your set top box, are you sure you have selected the correct input on the TV, so you are actually watching via the box and not via the TV’s internal tuner?

If you've already tried changing the batteries and enabled Bravia Sync and CEC/HDMI control on the box and still both remotes are not working, then you might be looking at a faulty IR receiver on the box. I'd say calling up the service provider to check would be best.

 

For the rest of the TV-centric stuff, are you certain that the TV is up to date?
