KDL-43W756C will not turn on

Hi

I was watching my TV earlier and turned it off while I went up stairs. It now won't turn on at all.

I have changed the battery in the remote, changed the fuse in the plug, searched this forum for other solutions, unplugged everything from the TV, left it for 30mins. Still nothing.

Please help

Hi Exenobby,

I think if the small LED at the bottom of the screen doesn't light up at all, this means the TV needs service. If the TV is still under warranty I would recommend contacting Sony to book a repair. Otherwise, you can contact the nearest service centre to check the TV in for repair. You can use this link to locate the nearest service centre:  http://bit.ly/2HUo9mF

Hope this helps.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

Weird thing. .... I tried that remote a couple of days later the TV worked.

This lasted for 2 days then the same fault occurred but I somehow got it to work a lot quicker.

Really not sure what's going on but happy while TV is working.

Is anyone aware of an intermittent fault with this TV?

Many thanks

Hi Exenobby,

If you can get the TV to operate, maybe you can try the below troubleshooting and check if it may help:
You can make sure the TV is running on the latest software using this link: https://bit.ly/2AawxPo (Copy and paste the link into your browser).
Try to clear the cached data from time to time to enhance the performance of the TV from Home - Settings - Storage & reset - Internal shared storage - Clear cache.
Also, Try to reset the TV to factory settings from Home - Settings - Storage & reset - Factory settings.
If the issue still remains, we recommend getting in touch with Sony's customer support to get help with this. You can contact Sony customer service on 02073652810, 9:00 am - 6: 00 pm Mon-Fri.
Alternatively, you can send an email using this link: http://bit.ly/2oUrHPV (copy and paste the link into your web browser).

Hope this helps,
