sony 200-600 not sharp. A1 body
Hi, i just wanted to adress issue i have with wildlife my combo. I just cannot get sharp images out of it. I tried everything, but i guess i have to get another copy of the lens as mine is probably not good.

My 200-600 was brilliant when I first started using it on my A1 .... I think the Firmware was 1.2x or something. As soon as I updated to 1.3x (I don't recall the exact version) and the 1.32, it was very, very unreliable! In fact I have not even used it in anger for a couple of years or so, as I know it was so bad.
FF to today. I took the plunge this week to go through the a1 firmware upgrade process from 1.32 > 2.01 > 3.00 ..... and I just tested it against my Sigma 500mm/f5.6, and the Sigma absolutely blows it away. The Sony is still really bad, and now I am thinking of getting rid.

@Red_Snow Maybe it's a hardware issue, have you thought about sending it for inspection?
