I just purchased the VG-C5 vertical grip for my A1ii, and I am surprised to find that the two batteries are consumed simultaneously, not sequentially, which is what I was used to with the vertical grips on my previous A7 cameras. In my opinion this is not such a convenient way of operation, as I would prefer to exhaust one battery completely and be able to swap that one out while the second one still has plenty of charge in it, rather than have the possibility of ending up with two empty batteries at the same time. Perhaps this option can be provided as a choice in a future firmware update?
