Hi,

Just bought a BDP-S390 Blu-ray disc player with WI-fi.

Connected with HDMI lead to my Bravia TV.

All runs fine but after approx 30 seconds TV appears to lose the connection. This happens whether playing a DVD, scrolling through the set up menu or doing any other action. Screen goes back to display "HDMI1" only.

This Blu-ray has simply replaced an older Sony Blu-ray player I had (without Wi-fi) and have simply unplugged the old player and plugged in the new one without changing anything else.

I recall I had a similar problem previously trying to connect a laptop to the TV with an HDMI adaptor but just thought there was some compatibility issue then. This appears to be the same problem precisely.

All fine for 30 seconds then screen goes blank !!!!

Help please if you can.

Thanks

Chris

Message was edited by: munumuna

Hi Chris

Have you tried updating the device with the latest firmware but its a strange issue as it sounds like a loose connection somewhere or a bum HDMI cable. Maybe try a different lead and/or a different HDMi socket?

thanks
