Recording issues with SVR-HDT500

I have just purchased SVR-HDT500 and it appears to be a very robust product. I have owned 2 analouge harddisk recorders from Sony, but this is my first digital one.

I do however have some problems with recording.

The most important one is that it often doesn't record what I am pointing out to record in the EPG Guide.

It appear only to be when I watch television on another channel when recording. I then watch on another HDMI entry. I have tried turning it off and on (both hd recorder and tv) but that did not make any difference.

I have noticed that it has to be set ti GMT+2 in order to make the time correct, but here in Denmark we are actually in GMT+1.

The enclosed picture demonstrate the problem. Note that the time is 23/09 02:25 but the timer still contains recordings from earlier that day. And of course these have not been recorded.

Also I have never managed to designate recording a series. It never comes op as an option. I dont know if the EPG guide has to designate a Series code - perhaps it is missing from my provider.

I hope for your help and assistance.

PS. I have looked for "over the air" software update but none was found.
