No front display on DVP-SR760H

I bought this dvd player, while at home I found that has no front display. On the front of the dvd, near remote sensor should be a little screen which should display the time it takes when you play a disc or the type of dvd inserted.I just want to know if this device has no display by default, if so is he built, or it has a malfunction.Thanks.

Hi there

Im on the understanding that this unit doesnt have an LCD display at all, however you will need to press the time/text or the display button on the remote control to bring the information onscreen. What makes you think that there should be a front display on the DVD Player anyhow?
