TV freezes and turns on and off

We have had a kdl32w706b for around 2.5 years. Recently the TV has started turning itself on and off this has become more and more frequent. It only happens when on TV, when watching anything connected to the TV it doesn't do it . I've tried to go to the settings menu to reset it, but it freezes in he menu screens.

Any ideas?

Hi there

Try factory resetting the TV using this procedure:

If after the factory reset that you still have this issue - try completely disconnecting all devices connected to the TV, leaving only the aerial and power connected. It might be a connected device thats doing this whilst not in use.
