Internet Connectivity in standby mode

I have a 40wd653bu (built in wifi, smart tv etc). What i was wondering is how do i keep the internet connection alive when in standby mode?

The reason I ask is i want to make use of the http requests available (i.e control TV with Echo Dot) but i find that after about 30 seconds in standby mode i can no longer get any status responses back

Is there a setting to enable this at all or does anyone have a solution?

Hi there

I doubt the TV is designed for this type of product to be honest. The only setting that 'might' help is under the "Home Network Setup" and enabling "Remote Start".

But the TV is designed to switch off network functionality whilst in standby mode.
