The Windows operating system, not Sony, hide the System Volume information for very good reasons. However, if you wish to view the contents of this folder you will need to alter a couple of settings in Folder Options.

In Explorer click Tools > Folder Options and on the View tab check “Show hidden files and folders” and also uncheck “Hide protected operating system Files (Recommended)”

I advise extreme caution! If the virus is contained within a restore point it may be safer to turn off System Restore and then re-boot, this will remove all restore points, then turn System Restore back on.

I would seach Symantec's virus database, and follow their instructions VERY carefully, print it out, even.

These viruses are a real menace
