Failure of CTRL key

Hi all,

How are ya? I bought my VAIO AR31E 5 months ago. It's running nicely up to now, no problems so far except sometime with reading some memory cards.
Anyway, my problem started from 2 days, maybe after installing some updates. My CTRL key isn't working anymore as if to use as a combination key (CTRL+V, to paste), its happening with all other keys.
I'll be glad and thankful to find a solution . Thanks.

Hi hunch,

what updates did you install.?

Simple solution would be to try a system restore to a point before you installed the updates..

Does that solve the problem, if not let us know.?

Go to device manager then expand keyboards are there any warning icons.?

Hi and sorry to reply lately,

I've installed some windows updates, don't remember what were they.
There's no warning icons next to the keyboards. Everything is fine but don't get why it's happening.
Another problem arose. The P key stopped working as well as the CTRL key. Now i'm really getting out of my mind.
No liquid so far had been spilled on the keyboard, not even mistakenly.
Tried a several system restore but no use, and even the system restore had failed to restore successfully!
Does it mean i need a keyboard replacement? Please don't tell me this...!
Anyone experienced this before?!!
