help .no sound.

I have a notebook pcg k315z...............I have no sound and I cannot figure it out.Any help would be great.
I have tried completly installing everything but no good.

Have you tried a system restore to a point when you had sound.?

hi. Thanks for the welcome.
Ya I tried to restore to another point,that didnt work , ran a diagnostic through and that didnt work.
Then in total frustration restored the whole computer. Back to the begining.................still no sound.
Everything looks like it is working but no sound. The only thing I can think of is that the computer was getting very hot and maybe It caused some damage to the actual speeker. ???????

Hi 1tracy,

if after running the Vaio recovery your Vaio is still without sound could indicate an hardware problem..

Have you tried attaching external speakers or headphones.?

Yes, works on an aexternal amp but as soon as i plug out no sound.................what do I DO NEXT ??????

Hi 1tracy,

try booting your vaio into safe mode, do you get sound.?

To boot into safe mode start your vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F8 key repeatedly..

I have sound...dont know how. I tried it in safe mode and still no sound and then when i RESTARTED IT AGAIN UP IT POPPED.

That would have to be your call, I have turned off auto updates and manually install the windows updates I require..
