Thanks. Ive bought a brand new inverter and still the same problem. Im guessing, one of the cables from the case goes to the screen is dead or the screen itself. Though its very unlikely as there are no damages done to the screen at all.

Any suggestions?

Hi prednisolon,

it could be a number of things...

faulty cable, faulty connection, backlight bulb, etc..

May be worth taking your Vaio to a good local repairer and for a diagnostic and quote for repair..
