Volume hot key F3/F4 - stop the beep!

Does anyone know how to stop the annoying beep sound when raising/lowering the speaker volume using the F3/F4 hotkeys - it's blowing my ears off!

Hi dl232022,

the beep sound you are referring is called pi.wav..

Have a look in C > Program Files > Sony > VAIO Event Service. I would suggest just renaming the .wav file extension to something else instead of just deleting pi.wav. Then if you ever wish to restore the beep you can just change the name back.

If you can not find the file in Vaio event service try doing a system search for pi.wav.
