Burning a DVD from a recorded TV programme

I have a VGC-V2S desktop.
I used to be able to burn DVDs from recorded TV programmes with no problem. However I have now encountered a problem which gives an error message "DVD creation has stopped because an error occurred" - with no further explanation!
Also the DVD becomes unreadable and has to be thrown away!
Has anyone experienced a similar problem and can advise a solution?

Hi Kee-Lo,
Yes, it is in ClicktoDVD where I get the problem. I have just upgraded from ver 2.3 to ver. 2.4 and what happens now is that burning starts OK but stops at the 50% point with the error message " DVD creation has stopped because an error occurred". This happens consistently. Wasted 3 DVDs in the last 10 30 minutes!!

Try Xilisoft range of dvd creators they are reliable and excellent quality and I have never burn't a dud using it. My wedding (which was important to get right) crapped out using Dick 2 DVD.

Sorry for the misinformation, I'm working in VAIO Zone and NOT ClicktoDVD.
The DVD/CD drive works fine when burning from Sonic Burn or backing up files from 'My Computer'.
It's only when I am burning from recorded TV programmes in VAIO Zone that I get the problem of DVD creation stopping half way through the burn process. The disc is not recorded and becomes unreadable and unusable!

The files should be in MPEG, so you can burn them in any of your favourite applications

Thanks for this info Kee-Lo.
I did that last night using 'Sonic RecordNow' and it worked fine. Only trouble is that the play back picture in 'Windows Media Player' does not fill the screen as it does in VAIO Zone. I tried all the methods there are for increasing screen size but the picture never gets bigger than 2/3 full screen.
Any comments on this?

Kee-Lo,

I set video size to 100% as you said, even 200%, but makes no difference.
The picture appears like a window within the Windows Media Player screen, i.e it's not in wide screen.The picture is perfectly watchable but images 'want' to be stretched sideways a bit, if you know what I mean and just doesn't fill the wide screen TV like it would do in VAIO.

Use Media player classic it has incremental screen size changes. Best get it as part of the K-lite codec pack here
