AC-ADAPTER BROKEN AFTER 6 MONTH-USING

HEY GUYS,

I BOUGHT A SONY VIAO VGN-N31M ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. AND A PROBLEM HAPPENED : AC-ADAPTER WAS BROKEN; WHEN I PLUGGED IT INTO A SOCKET, ITS SIGNAL LIGHT WAS OFF, IT RELEASED A STRANGE SOUND, TIT...TIT...

I WENT TO THE SHOP WHERE I GOT IT, ASKED THE SALERS. THEY SAID: '' ALL ACCESSORIES IS JUST GUARANTEED IN 3 MONTHS''( THE MAIN ITEM IS IN 1 YEAR-WARRANTY) . IS THIS RIGHT ? I READ A WARRANTY BOOKLET, IT HAD EVERYTHING BUT WARRANTY OF ACCESSORIES.

I'M SO CONFUSED . CAN YOU GUYS HELP ME OUT ? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! DO I HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE?

the information the shop where you bought your Vaio has given you is incorrect..

The AC adapter has the same warranty as your Vaio, ie 1 Year..

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

I read some stuffs related on internet. I found out that my Adapter hasn't symbol of EC(European Certificate) Is this prove that it's not good quality. I bought it in London (it means in Europe ) without quality standard of Europe.

In additon, you can't believe what happen to my adapter : It work again !!!!

Should I smile or cry ???? :smileygrin:

I bought it from the shop at 256 Tottenham Court Rd. I'll upload my receipt if you think it's necessary. When I went there and asked them about this. They told me that they didn't have any responsibility for this adapter after 3 months(that mean they just guaranteed this in 3 months). So if I want to solve my problem, I have to contact directly Sony.

What the problem !!!!!!

I think you'll find the shop at 256 Tottenham Court Rd do have responsibility...

I phoned Sony. And they sent me a new one!!! fantastic!!!! I hope it work well for a long time.!!! Basically, the new one look like the old one!!!!
