VAIO – LA2 – need help.

When I turn on the PC a 4 inch rectangular blank screen comes on and it is of My Club Vaio which does not work. How can I re-install it?

Hi - Thanks for your suggestion but I have tried this and an enable to load this patch - what I need is to re-install MyClub Vaio - where can I get it?

Hi JLuigi,

unfortunately My Club Vaio is not available to download the only way to reinstall the program is to run the Vaio recovery utility and restore your Vaio back to the original factory settings..

But if your Vaio is working OK then to be honest I wouldn't bother recovering just for the My Club Vaio portal..

If you decide to do this make sure you back up all your important data first..

To stop My Club Vaio.exe from starting Click Start , click All Programs , click Accessories, click System Tools then click Task Scheduler..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window.

In task scheduler window you should see three sections, Overview of Task Scheduler, then below this Task Status and finally at the bottom Active tasks..

In task scheduler go to the bottom section of the centre column (called active tasks)

Double click LaunchMCV and in the new window, on the right hand column, select either delete or disable...

Thank you very much – I got rid of that annoying rectangular white screen.
I quite agree it is not worth doing a full factory restore.
