My Fn key wont work, i have updated everything made sure that vaio event services starts on start up etc and its still not working!!!

Hi, You havent said much about which VAIO you have, or what OS, but you should definetly check for a new BIOS on the Sony website.

It certainly will only do good, to refresh your BIOS with the latest version.

Hi nsfitzy, FN keys are usually rectified by reinstalling some of the Vaio utilities but without the model number it's hard to advise further. Are you still running the original Sony supplied operating system?
Another option try a system restore to a point when your function keys were working.
I doubt updating the BIOS will rectify your function key problem though.
