Hi,

Does anyone know of a utility to display the CPU temp on a GRT series? I'm using 'hardware sensors monitor' at the moment, but that reckons my idle temp is 60 degrees C, with a 100% usage temp around 90, which is far too hot for my liking.

Can anyone confirm these temp? I'm hoping that the monitor software is simply reading too high...

Oh, and am I', missing something, or is there no search facility for this forum?

Thanks,

Hi,

Those tempretures sound pretty high, I would clean the vents on the notebook and make sure nothing is blocking it.

As for search, it should be ready by early August according to the developers.

Hi,

download MobileMeter, it displays your CPU and HDD temps. Google will help you to find to download or look back in this forum. I had the same problem.

90°C is very high. I would clean the fans. The highest CPU temp on my Vaio was about 85°C.

cu
Mustang

it sounds like you have wooly-booggers clogging up your heatpipe exaust.... my standard temp is at around 50 degrees celcius.... i had a simular problem once, until i cleaned my exaust.

this happens because the air intake at the bottom sucks up dust and other things, which in turn clot the heatpipe exaust panels ot the back.

but then again... it could also be others...

Joe
