I am an owner a new Vaio FR495 notebook. My problem is that my Vaio have poor memory performance. I check this with Sisoftware Sandra. There is a result

It seems that memory work on 33 MHz In the real world; the whole system is slow like old Pentium III computer. CPU and HD performance is OK How can I fix that?

hi,

i have a GRT816M and i also have terrible memory performance....
if i would get as much performance as i do heat from the processor, then my notebook would be real fast...

does your memory get real hot aswell... tough the bottom of your notebook after you had it running for a while and see how warm or hot it got....

I think all VAIOs have that Joe, and thats probably why the memory doesn't run as well as expected.

hey kee,

sorry for spreading a paranoidish environment... a lot of notebooks heat up... specially the so called desktop replacement notebooks.

question kee-lo: the standard ram used for vaios is ddr 266 cycled... do you have any info on performance if changed to ddr 333 or even 400 cycled ram...
